Clever Ways To Store Bed Linen

Picture your linen cupboard. How is it looking? The ideal scenario for everyone is neatly folded sheets, towels and pillowcases, organised in such a way that finding anything in there is like a breath of fresh air. In reality, how often is this the case? Not very often. Finding one item in particular can lead to things being pulled out leaving a mass of destruction, and a less-than-perfect and unorganised mess. There are some clever ways to store your linens, though; take a look at some of these ideas and let us know how you get on.

Store Sheets in Pillowcases - Tried and tested by the Bamboo Village team, this idea is just short of genius. Whenever you put a new set of sheets on your bed, it can be exhausting to try and find everything to match. Pillowcases are missing, sheets nowhere to be found. To get around this, simply store matching sets inside of a pillowcase. Fold everything neatly (including the second pillowcase), and place them inside an open pillowcase. Then fold this together so it is a neat package. To keep things fresh, you can always add a dryer sheet.

Hang Linens on a coat hanger - If you're not fond of finding everything is close to creased when you take it out of its folded position, why not hang linens up instead? It will prevent lots of creasing and also ensures you can keep matching sets close together.

Store them in each room - If you want to be very organised, store linens in the room they're used in, instead of a separate cupboard. Set aside one drawer in each room to store the linens needed such as bedspreads and sheets, and you could even colour code them for each season. This leaves the linen cupboard for towels only, which makes things a lot neater.

Use Ribbon – A neat way to keep everything together in your linen cupboard, is to use ribbon. When your washing is ironed and ready to store, place matching items together and loosely tie them with a ribbon; it doesn’t have to be expensive or neat, something from a craft store will do. Finding sets of sheets and linens will be much easier when you have to find them!
