This Week We Found... The Yard Art Pet Poo Composter

Posted by Bamboo Village on 15th Oct 2014

We love stumbling across new and exciting products, and when we saw this, we knew our readers who have furry friends would love it. It's called a Yard Art Pet Poo Composter, and something with a name like that can only do something rather special! It basically composts your pets waste quickly, and produces free organic fertiliser that can enrich your soil.

Perfect for your back garden, this genius invention (which has been in research for a good few years) will reduce the smells and mess of pet droppings, and also looks rather pretty on your landscape too - unlike the ugly look that some compost units have. Fertiliser is wonderful for creating and encouraging plant growth, so if you're green fingered or are wanting to make a start on a little piece of green earth at the back or front of your house, this could certainly give you a helping hand with growing plants.

So how does it all work? The Pet Poo Composter works with worms, believe it or not. The wriggly slimy creatures that burrow through the soil take organic matter with them, and when they wriggle they leave tunnels which give plants a better structure for their roots. At the bottom of the Pet Poo Composter are holes wich allow worms in and out. They feed on the waste of the animal, and as they move back and forth between the composter and soil, they bring rich nutrients which plant roots can access.

What can it do for you? The organic fertiliser will be spread throughout your garden without you having to do anything. You have a place to get rid of your pets waste, and your garden will begin to bloom with fresh colours and green lawn. And it is super eco-friendly.
