If you’re looking to introduce some new foods into your diet, we’ve rustled up a list of some wonderful foods that are not only delicious, but have fantastic benefits for your body. Check out some of our favourites:

Wild Salmon - If you buy your salmon wild, it is a fantastic source of omega 3 fatty acids. These keep your skin moisturised, and very supple. In addition, salmon is a great source of vitamin D, which keeps your teeth and bones extra strong, and it also contains selenium, which is a mineral that keeps your skin protected from the sun. Wondering what to do with salmon? You don't just have to eat it as it is; have it with pasta, sushi, grilled or baked, in a salad...the options are endless! We love this recipe for Salmon frying pan lasagne, which uses Wild Alaskan Red Salmon.

Walnuts - Who knew walnuts had so many benefits? You only have to eat a handful to get the advantages of these lovely nuts, which include strong bones, bright eyes, healthy hair and smooth and healthy skin. They contain really beneficial omega 3 fatty acids, as well as Vitamin E. They're ideal for snacking on at work on a break, or why not get creative too? Throw some on your salad, add them to a pasta or chicken dish, or even add them to a dessert! This delicious fig and walnut slice is perfect for desserts, afternoon teas or any other time of day!

Dark Chocolate - Who wants an excuse to eat chocolate? Us too! Did you know that dark chocolate in moderation is actually good for you? Dark chocolate helps your skin stay hydrated, and it also protects the skin from sun damage too. The best sort should be at least sixty percent cacao, and have a high flavanol content. Don't want to eat it straight from the packet? Make it into chocolate cake. What could be better than moist dark chocolate cupcakes topped with a delicate chocolate curl

Spinach - Never sure what to do with spinach? There are dozens of ways to make it delicious, and what's even better is that it is rich in antioxidants and nutrients. It contains lutein, which keeps your eyes healthy. It also contains vitamins B, C and E, omega 3 fatty acids, potassium, calcium, iron and magnesium. Instead of lettuce in your salad, use spinach. Add it to your sandwiches for a healthy addition. We love this recipe for Spinach pie

Tomatoes - Did you know that tomatoes are the best source of the anti-aging antioxidant lycopene? This is easily absorbed into your body, so ensure to stock up on the tomatoes! They come in so many different forms, including tomato juice, sauce, tinned...meaning there are many opportunities for cooking it too. Slurp your way into winter with this easy tomato and basil soup; delicious!

Kiwis - Do you love kiwis? They're full of vitamin C and antioxidants. This helps prevent wrinkles, keep skin firm, and are wonderful for healthy bones and teeth, as well as protecting you from heart disease and cancer. We love this recipe for a Kiwi, lime and mint cooler.
